The commentators consisted of Professor Sukehiro Hasegawa, Director of Academic Exchange and Cooperation of the United Nations Association of Japan, Mr. James O\u2019Leary, Consular Officer of the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, Professor Shintaro Kurachi, Faculty of Economics, Keio University, and Professor Chizu Arashima, Associate Professor of tbe Kobe Gakuin University.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shasegawa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/170310_02.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[14947]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.shasegawa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/170310_02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14949\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.shasegawa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/170310_02.jpg 448w, http:\/\/www.shasegawa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/170310_02-314x235.jpg 314w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/a><\/center><br clear=\"all\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u3000Following opening remarks made by Professor Sukehiro Hasegawa and Mr. James O\u2019Leary, Mr. Wataru Kinoshita, Head-delegate of Japan Model United Nations to NMUN-NY explained how the presentations will be made and discussed.<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:11pt;\">\u30001\uff0e<strong>Yuna Takeshita<\/strong> (<strong>\u7af9\u4e0b \u512a\u83dc<\/strong>) &#8211;International Christian University, Collage of Liberal Arts<\/div>\n<p>\u3000She is addressing such issues as (a) ensuring equal opportunities for persons with disabilities in society and development; (b) promoting social and economic inclusion of refugee, and (c) social dimensions of the new partnership for Africa\u2019s development <\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:11pt;\">\u30002. <strong>Ryuju Kume<\/strong> (<strong>\u4e45\u7c73 \u7adc\u6a39<\/strong>) &#8211;Kyoto University, Faculty of Economics<\/div>\n<p>\u3000(a) The Role of Science and Technology in International Security and Disarmament<br \/>\n\u3000(b) Global Nuclear Disarmament and<br \/>\n\u3000(c) Increasing Women\u2019s Role in Disarmament and Non-Proliferation <\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:11pt;\">\u30003. <strong>Hiroyuki Aiba<\/strong> (<strong>\u76f8\u5ead \u5bdb\u4e4b<\/strong>) &#8211;Doshisha University, Faculty of Economics<\/div>\n<p>\u3000The subject matter of his presentation consists of implementing the Addis Ababa Action Agenda, harnessing the Green Economy to Eradicate Poverty (SDG 1) and designing Effective Policies and Institutions to Reduce Inequalities (SDG 10).<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shasegawa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/170310_03.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[14947]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.shasegawa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/170310_03.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"304\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14950\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.shasegawa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/170310_03.jpg 448w, http:\/\/www.shasegawa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/170310_03-314x213.jpg 314w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/a><\/center><br clear=\"all\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:11pt;\">\u30004. <strong>Misshel Keyani<\/strong> (<strong>\u30ad\u30e3\u30cb\u30fc \u30df\u30c3\u30b7\u30a7\u30eb<\/strong>) &#8211;Sophia University, Faculty of Liberal Arts<\/div>\n<p>\u3000Her presentation covers youth leadership and education for sustainable development, ensuring decent work for all, and the role of science, technology, and innovation in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:11pt;\">\u30005. <strong>Tamae Kondo<\/strong> (<strong>\u8fd1\u85e4 \u74b0\u8863<\/strong>) &#8211;Keio University, Faculty of Law<\/div>\n<p>\u3000She will be dealing with issues related to (a) promoting livelihoods and education for refugees and displaced persons;
