African Specialist Explains the Implications for Training and Capacity Building for UN Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding in Africa (13/07/2016)

 Main themes of Three 2015 Peace Reports, HIPPO, AGE and Global Study Report on 1325, were presented by John Ahere of the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD) at TICAD preparatory meeting in Cairo.


 John Ahere is the Coordinator of Peacebuilding Unit of ACCORD, a South Africa -based civil society organization working throughout Africa to bring creative solutions to the challenges posed by conflict on the continent. ACCORD’s primary aim is to influence political developments by bringing conflict resolution, dialogue and institutional development to the forefront as an alternative to armed violence and protracted conflict.
