Masahiko KIYA

 Born in Hakodate, Japan, in 1964. Graduated from Tokyo University in 1987. MA in history and international law, Cambridge University. Entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in 1988. Assignments include the Embassies of Japan in Nigeria and the United States, Bangladesh (Counselor), Belgium (Minister) the Ministry of Defense, Director for International Peace Cooperation 2015.4-2017.7 Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of South Sudan, 2017.8 Deputy Director-General, Africa Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
