Akari Suzaki, a third-year student at International Christian University and member of the steering committee of the Hasegawa Peace Building Academy, shared her views. Majoring in law and peace studies, Ms. Suzaki gained a multifaceted perspective on peace through a lecture on Zhou Enlai’s study abroad in Japan, drawing on traditional Chinese thought.(05/05/2025)

Given the significant influence Zhou Enlai’s own ideas and stance had on Sino-Japanese relations, she strongly felt the importance of diplomats’ humanity and cultural background in international relations, and once again recognized the significance of adopting a micro perspective to gain a broader overview.
