Full Statement (English Translation)
(Translated faithfully from the Japanese text above.)
“Hello. I came to Japan as a refugee from Ukraine and first lived with my parents in Saga Prefecture for about six months. Since it was difficult to find work and for me to attend a Japanese high school, we moved to Tokyo. In Tokyo I studied Japanese for about two years and then entered ICU (International Christian University). I am currently a first-year student. ICU is a liberal arts university, and majors are decided in the third year. I hope to study law and international relations and to work for the United Nations in the future. My message is that I will continue doing my best with the desire to bring peace to the world.”
