　世界経済フォーラム(World Economic Forum)が12月17日に発表した各国のジェンダー不平等状況を分析した「世界ジェンダー・ギャップ報告書(Global Gender Gap Report 2019）」によると、日本は「ジェンダー・ギャップ指数(Gender Gap Index：GGI）」で、153国中、121位と先進国では最低水準になった。1位はアイスランド、中国は106位で韓国は108位とのこと。
